About Dr Kais Hyasat

Dr Kais Hyasat is an Interventional and General Cardiologist who specialises in all areas of general cardiology including non-invasive imaging and cardiac catheterisation. He has a special interest in complex coronary disease, chest pain syndromes, valvular heart disease, microvascular disease and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Dr Hyasat completed his cardiology training at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2019. He then moved to Sydney and completed a two-year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in Liverpool and Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospitals with training in all aspects of percutaneous coronary intervention including intracoronary imaging, physiology assessment and stenting.
He then completed an advanced fellowship in complex coronary disease and high-risk percutaneous intervention at the prestigious NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York, USA.

In addition to clinical work, Dr Hyasat maintains an interest in research and is completing his PhD through the University of New South Wales with a focus on the coronary microcirculation and its role in cardiovascular disease. He has authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented at both national and international meetings where he is regularly invited as faculty. He has also been involved in several cardiovascular clinical trials both locally and overseas.
